Telegram(安装Telegram) is getting ready to release its new Emoji platform, which will allow you to create custom animated emojis. Telegram Emojis can be used in both text chats and in the new custom chat bubbles, where they will also be available for sending by other users. The Emoji Platform uses vector-based animations that are optimized for size and rendering speed. Each animation is a sequence of some 30 frames in PNG or WebP format, at 512px x 512px each and not more than 500KB in total. The Telegram Emoji Platform allows you to make your emoji talk by creating customized animations using built-in tools or external software like Adobe After Effects or Final Cut Pro X.

Allows you to have Emoji conversations by creating custom animations
The Telegram Emoji Platform allows you to make your emoji talk by creating customized animations. You can turn any photo into animation and share it with your friends. Animated Emoji are only available in the new custom chat bubbles for now, but they’ll be coming soon to sticker packs as well! Animations are vector-based and have been specially optimized for size and rendering speed, so they load even faster than classic animated GIFs.
It is easy to turn any photo into an animation
You can use any photo from your phone, computer, or the web. You can also use photos from your camera – no need to upload them first!
You’ll need to know the technical background behind the animated Emoji
You’ll need to know the technical background behind the animated Emoji. Animated emojis are vector-based and have been specially optimized for size and rendering speed. The animation has been created in a way that allows Telegram to display it in any size or resolution without losing quality, so you can use them on your PC screen at 4K resolution as well as on smartphones with small screens (like Android Wear watches).
Since we think that this new feature is awesome, we want everyone in the world who uses Telegram to be able to use animated Emojis soon! We will try our best not only to introduce them globally but also to provide customization options for each user if they want more than one style of animation per emoji character set (for example, a smiley face with different emotions).
Animated Emoji are only available in the new custom chat bubbles for now
Animated Emoji are only available in the new custom chat bubbles for now. They’re not in the old bubbles, public chat bubbles, or group chat bubbles. On top of that, they’re not even available in channels―only custom chats have access to these features.
If you want to use animated emojis with your friends or followers on Telegram, then make sure everyone is using the latest version of the app and that you have a custom chat open with them (that’s what gets animated).
They are vector-based and have been specially optimized for size and rendering speed
The emoji are vector-based and have been specially optimized for size and rendering speed. This means they take up less space on your phone, which means more room for stickers!
The emoji are also animated, which means that when you send them to your friends, they will animate in a fun way on their screens (instead of just showing the static image).
Animation format sequence
Each animation is a sequence of some 30 frames in PNG or WebP format, at 512px x 512px each and not more than 500KB in total.
The vectors are stored as animated images in the Telegram database. To create an animated Emoji, we need to send three files: the image defining the base state (for example, a “smiling” face), one for each intermediate state (in this case, with different mouth positions), and one for any final state it might have (for example, if it’s blinking). The result is an animated GIF file consisting of three separate images – one for each frame – which is played back by Telegram using your client’s built-in capabilities.

Just tap on the avatar icon in any chat, or search for “Emoji” in the search bar of a public group, channel, or supergroup. Then select “Create new set” and choose a title and content (or emoji) to add as an element of your animation. You can also use pre-existing sets by tapping on them, which will let you edit their names or delete them if you want to use them later. You can also change other elements of your animation like its speed and duration from here too!
Once you’re done designing your custom animations, tap “Share with friends” at the top right corner of this screen and send it off in private messages or group chats – we’ll convert it into an animated GIF for easy sharing 🙂 For example:
